Superb twinset camming system - holds cylinders with absolute security
The AP webbing camband system has proven itself for over 30 years to be the superior system available in terms of ease of use, adjustability and cylinder security
NO TOOLS REQUIRED - simple to change over from the single camband that comes as standard with AP (BUDDY) BCDs to a twinset camband upgrade. Adjust & fasten the camband entirely by hand
NO NEED TO WET THE BANDS - other brand systems require the bands to be wet before you tighten them because their webbing expands when wet and would therefore loosen during the dive. AP cambands are designed with non-hygroscopic webbing and can be adjusted and tightened completely dry with the confidence of superior cylinder grip throughout the dive
NO CYLINDER BOOT OR MANIFOLD REQUIRED - the twin cylinders are held in place by the separation blocks and do not require either a twin cylinder boot or a manifold. It is the diver's choice whether they want to use a manifold, but the AP system offers the option of having a first stage on each cylinder. Held by bands at top and bottom, the twinset is held as rigidly in position as any metal-band/twinboot/manifold system
The BK15-17 series Twinset Kits are designed to be used with any AP backplate (pre or post 2007)
It is advisable you measure your cylinders but typically:
5 and 7 litre cylinders = 5.5" diam 10 and 12 litre cylinders = 7" diam 12 litre dumpy and 15 litre cylinders = 8" diam
There is leeway in the webbing band length to cater for unusual cylinder sizes
To convert back to a single cylinder camband when required is simply a question of re-threading the backpack, a job that requires no tools to complete and takes only a few minutes

Changing from Twin 7 litre set-up on Buddy Explorer BCD to Twin 10 litre set-up cambands and subsequent try dive!
Review by DAVID A. on 26 Mar 2015review stating Changing from Twin 7 litre set-up on Buddy Explorer BCD to Twin 10 litre set-up cambands and subsequent try dive!
Basically very pleased. It took me about 2.5 hours to make the change over to my satisfaction. Fiddled around a bit positioning the four new straps neatly on the 10 litre tanks. ( made several false starts - operator error !) Spent about an hour in the pool later in the week with new st-up to get used to the bigger tanks. Everthing held rock solid...Read MoreRead more about Basically very pleased. It took me
. I am off on a trip in April where I will be using Alumium 80 tanks and am confident that the Buddy Explorer and new cambands will give secure and comfortable support. Read LessRead less about Basically very pleased. It took me
Review by frazer p. on 21 Mar 2016review stating Great product, best system for twinning tanks.
The AP Twinset Cambands, in my mind, are the best system for twin tank setups, especially if you do multiple dives through the day. I work as a commercial scallop diver, typically diving 3 times per day. For this they are perfect, as I can change my tanks quickly with no fuss! This system also eliminates the cost of steel banding 40+ tanks. The on...Read MoreRead more about The AP Twinset Cambands, in my mind,
