Medical 1st aid oxygen kits incorporate a regulator with an adjustable flow to allow flow rates normally from 3 LPM to 20 LPM, depending on the requirements of patients.
The SCUBA2MED2 enables you to use oxygen prepared cylinders, cylinder valves and first stages to deliver oxygen ONLY at a fixed flow rate.
It is intended for use by Nitrox and Trimix qualified divers for Emergency Oxygen delivery when there is no alternative.
- Nominal Flow rate of 8.8 LPM (STP) with a 9.5 bar Interstage Pressure.
- Nominal Flow rate of 6.8 LPM (STP) with a 7.5 bar Interstage Pressure.
These rates were determined to be a reasonable compromise for field applications, effectiveness and gas duration based on advice from GPs, an air ambulance doctor and an anaesthetist.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
- Consider your own safety before helping others. Consider the risk of infection and use appropriate barriers.
- This product is intended for use by divers who are trained in the use and safety precautions associated with high oxygen % Nitrox and Oxygen.
